A Note on Craftsmanship
A few years ago, I was searching for the perfect housewarming gift for some special people. I knew it had to come from the heart. After browsing online for hours I came up empty handed. A friend at work had suggested, “any gift worth anything is handmade.” It struck me and I set out to make a Cherry, Maple and Walnut cutting board. With few hand tools and a bit of advice to follow - I made my first cutting board in a month. The process relaxed me and was a fantastic change of pace from my day job in finance. Everything felt right about working with the materials and my passion for woodworking started. Today not much has changed - I love to make cutting boards with fine hand tools.
